Frequently asked questions
Q. Is the price of ShowLink the same, no matter where you are travelling from?
A. Yes - everyone who comes to the Show pays the one all-inclusive entry and transport price, whether you travel by train, bus, ferry, and car or even if you walk!
Q. Do ShowLink tickets cover all forms of public transport?
A. No - premium bus and ferry services and private buses are not covered by the ShowLink ticket.
Q. Could I use my ShowLink ticket on more than one mode of transport to get to the Show?
A. Yes, as long as you are not travelling on premium or private services. For example, you can get a normal regular bus or ferry service and then a train.
Q. Are buses available throughout all the Sydney area or only those closest to Olympic Park?
A. Sydney Olympic Park Major Event buses are running on 12 routes across the Sydney area. Click here for a map of Major Event Bus Routes.
Q. When do the Show celebrations finish each day?
A. The show finishes at 9.30pm and carnivals and bars are open until approximately 10.30pm. The last bus on each of the 12 Major Event bus routes departs from Olympic Park at 11.00pm.
Q. What is the Sprint to Olympic Park?
A. A shuttle train service that runs between Lidcombe and Olympic Park Station, every 10 to 20 minutes (depending on the time of day) with a journey time of approximately 7 minutes.
Q. Are students over the age of 18 eligible for a concession?
A. Yes, as long as they hold a valid student card.
Q. My station is unattended. Could I purchase a ShowLink ticket at Sydney Olympic Park Station?
A. Before 5.00pm, purchase a ShowLink ticket from the ticket vending machine. After 5.00pm, purchase a special "transport only" ticket to Olympic Park Station from the ticket vending machine. When you arrive at Olympic Park Station, exchange and pay the difference for a ShowLink ticket, which will include entry in to the Show and return travel home.
Q. Who is eligible to purchase a Child ShowLink ticket?
A. Child tickets are available for children aged 4-15 years, and students aged 16-18 years who are in possession of the School Student Identification Card (form 202).
Q. I’m a pensioner. Should I purchase a ShowLink ticket or a Pensioner Excursion?
A. The cheapest option is the ShowLink concession or a ShowLink After 5pm concession. Do not purchase a Pensioner Excursion. Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March are NSW Seniors Card Days, where a host of special entertainment acts and activities will be provided.
