Travelling on the CityRail network is easy. Just determine which CityRail station you will be starting and ending your journey, the time of day, how often you'll be travelling - there's a range of tickets designed to suit your needs.

Purchase your tickets at either the station ticket office or the ticket vending machine where available.

CityRail has a large range of day, commuter and leisure tickets that will get you to where you want to go. CityRail's extensive network is ideal for both leisure travellers and commuters and our array of tickets offer you convenience, flexibility and great savings. Special conditions apply to those who wish to take bicycles on CityRail services.

Ticket Care
Please look after your ticket.

If the magnetic strip is erased or damaged the ticket becomes void. Only faulty tickets, not damaged ones, will be replaced.

Please do not:

• Wash or immerse your ticket in water
• Leave your ticket in the sun or next to a heat source such as a radiator
• Fold, bend or twist your ticket
• Remove or tamper with the magnetic strip or any trip detail on your ticket
• Cut or tear your ticket
• Allow your ticket to become coated with grime or other foreign substances
• Expose your ticket to strong magnets
