Platform two closed from 28 May Major construction and upgrading work is scheduled for North Sydney Station. As a result, platform two will be closed from 28 May 2006 until mid 2007. There is no reduction in timetabled services, the trains will simply use other platforms so please check the indicator on the concourse to see which platform your train is using.
When work is completed you will see:
- a more contemporary design with natural light and ventilation;
- more space on upper and lower concourses to avoid over-crowding;
- new lifts and escalators;
- more ticket barriers and a larger ticket office;
- resurfaced platforms that are level with carriage doors;
- and
new toilets, a parents’ room and a first aid room.
Visit the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation website for more information.
