As with any major project, there will be some inconvenience while work is undertaken. This may involve changes to scheduled services or even alternative transport arrangements such as buses. However, most of the work will be limited to weekends and some school holiday periods.
Information on construction will be provided through letters to residents and businesses, and information on changes to transport arrangements will be provided on CityRail's website and at stations.
Information on planned trackwork is available in the Trackwork section.
Benefits of Rail Clearways
- More reliable, frequent and convenient rail services.
- Increased capacity to relieve crowding.
- Additional peak hour services.
- Reduced congestion at key stations.
