
Stations
The Epping to Chatswood rail link provides rail access to an entirely new growth area of Sydney, benefiting 30,000 Macquarie University students and staff and 30,000 Macquarie Park workers. Over the next 25 years Macquarie Park is set to become Australia's fourth largest business district.
There are three new stations between Epping and Chatswood stations:
Macquarie University Station
Located at the intersection of Waterloo and Herring Roads, opposite Macquarie Shopping Centre and the main university entrance. View station facilities »
Macquarie Park Station
Located at the intersection of Lane Cove Road and Waterloo Road, opposite the Foxtel Building. View station facilities »
North Ryde Station
Located on Delhi Road opposite Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium. View station facilities »
Epping and Chatswood stations have also been upgraded to integrate the new link with the broader CityRail network and allow for future growth in patronage.

Features
Key features of the new stations include:
- Generous platform spaces, ventilation and a station layout designed to ease movement of our customers.
- The latest in architectural design.
- Interchange with other public transport services.
- Surface canopies at the station entrances provide shelter for both customers and pedestrians at the street level.
- Mobile phone coverage in stations and tunnels.
Accessibility
The new stations are accessible to everyone in the community - including people with disabilities, the elderly and parents with prams. The easy access facilities include:
- 10 lifts and 42 escalators
- Tactile tiles on the edge of platforms
- Hearing loops at ticket office windows
- Accessible audio and visual service information
- Accessible toilets
Safety and security
Many customers would not be aware that there are more than 8600 CCTV cameras and 700 Emergency Help Points throughout the CityRail network. A security control centre actively monitors this technology 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
400 CCTV cameras, along with Emergency Help Points, high intensity lighting, ventilation and fire safety systems have been installed on the Epping to Chatswood rail link, providing a safe environment for customers, pedestrians and staff.
