Where the Waratah train is operating

Waratah trains are being progressively introduced into off-peak and peak period passenger service across the CityRail network.

Thirty-eight (38) Waratah trains are now available for passenger service on the CityRail network.

The new Waratah trains operate on the Airport & East Hills, South, Northern, Olympic Park, Bankstown and Inner West lines.

As the Waratah fleet numbers increase, more new air-conditioned Waratah trains will be introduced onto these lines and the Western and North Shore lines.

In total, 78 new air-conditioned trains are to be delivered to replace around half the CityRail suburban fleet.
