
Timetable enhancements
Enhancements to the CityRail timetable commence on Monday 26 October.
Since the introduction of a new timetable on 11 October, CityRail has carefully monitored customer feedback, measured passenger train loads and examined service reliability.
As a result of this review, timetable enhancements will commence on Monday 26 October on the following lines:
- A City to Campbelltown via Airport weekday service has been extended to Macarthur in the morning peak. This service departs Central at 7.47am and now arrives at Macarthur at 8.52am.
- A City to Campbelltown via Airport weekday service has been extended to Macarthur in the afternoon peak. This service departs Central at 5.17pm and now arrives at Macarthur at 6.19pm.

- A City to Campbelltown via Granville weekday service has been extended to Macarthur in the afternoon peak. This service departs Central at 5.03pm and now arrives at Macarthur at 6.29pm.
- An afternoon Campbelltown to City via Granville weekday service will now commence from Macarthur at 6.28pm. All other times remain unchanged.

- A new weekday service operates from Gosford to Hornsby to improve services for shift workers from the Central Coast. This service departs Gosford at 1.03am stopping at Point Clare, Koolewong, Woy Woy, Hawkesbury River, Cowan, Berowra, Asquith arriving Hornsby at 1.54am.
- The 5.02am Hornsby to Newcastle service will now depart Hornsby 4 minutes earlier at 4.58am. The stopping pattern for this service will remain the same, but will stop four minutes earlier at stations between Hornsby and Gosford. On arrival at Gosford, the first two carriages will proceed to Newcastle and the rear two carriages will terminate at Gosford.
- The 5.28am North Sydney to Hornsby via Macquarie Park service will now depart 1 minute earlier at 5.27am.

- A new afternoon Central to Quakers Hill weekday service has been added, departing Central (platforms 4 to 15) at 3.41pm and arriving Quakers Hill at 4.35pm.
- The existing 5.01pm Blacktown to Campbelltown weekday service has been extended to start from Quakers Hill. This service now departs Quakers Hill at 4.52pm and arrives at Campbelltown at 6.09pm.

Departure times at Epping for the City to Hornsby via Macquarie Park services have been adjusted, to improve connections between northbound intercity services and northbound suburban services to Hornsby, as follows:
- The 4.16pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 5.02pm and 3 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.
- The 4.31pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 5.17pm and 3 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.
- The 4.48pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 5.33pm and 2 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.
- The 5.15pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 6.02pm and 3 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.
- The 5.31pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 6.16pm and 2 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.
- The 5.46pm train from Central to Hornsby via Macquarie Park now departs Epping at 6.32pm and 3 minutes later at all stations to Hornsby.

Newcastle & Central Coast Line
- An additional stop at Berowra has been added to the 2.15pm Central to Newcastle weekday service to improve services for school children at Asquith. This service now stops at Berowra at 3.01pm.
- A new weekday service operates from Gosford to Hornsby to improve services for shift workers from the Central Coast. This service departs Gosford at 1.03am stopping at Point Clare, Koolewong, Woy Woy, Hawkesbury River, Cowan, Berowra, Asquith arriving Hornsby at 1.54am.
- The 5.02am Hornsby to Newcastle service now departs Hornsby 4 minutes earlier at 4.58am. The stopping pattern for this service remains the same, but stops 4 minutes earlier at stations between Hornsby and Gosford. On arrival at Gosford, the first two carriages proceed to Newcastle and the rear two carriages terminate at Gosford.
