Accessible services

CityRail has an ongoing commitment to provide a passenger rail service that gives access to all our customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with prams, young children or luggage.

Stations

Stations marked as wheelchair accessible have level, ramp or left access to all platforms. However, not every entrance at every accessible station may be wheelchair accessible. Please check Station details for further details.

Selected stations have accessible features such as:

  • Ramps
  • Lifts
  • Tactile tiles on the edge of platforms
  • Continuous handrails
  • Accessible ticket counters
  • Hearing loops at ticket office windows
  • Accessible payphones
  • Accessible audio and visual service information
  • Accessible toilets.

Trains

All trains are accessible using a platform to train boarding ramp.

New trains offer enhanced facilities including:

  • Wheelchair spaces
  • Priority seats for elderly and less mobile passengers
  • Accessible Emergency Help Points
  • Colour-contrasted doors and handrails
  • Audio and visual destination information
  • Accessible toilets.
